you need to be earnest. you need to tell people that you love them. you need to speak on how you’re feeling honestly. you need to be sentimental. you need to stop letting the fear of other people laughing at you have so much control over how you express yourself. you need to get over yourself. you need to be embarrassing but true.

love can really save people, and i’m not talking about romantic love. i’m talking about platonic, wholesome, unselfish love that demands nothing in return other than that person’s safety, happiness, and well-being. love for the sake of love. i think this kind of love is wonderful.

that the people who care about you aren’t, in fact, incrementally & constantly adjusting their opinion of you based on how stupid or cool your last interaction with them was….is something i actively try believing in every single day & when it works it brings my heart great peace
